Organizing for America (OFA), the community organizing successor to the Obama for America presidential campaign, conducted a Health Reform Video Challenge.

OFA invited Americans across the country to submit videos in favor of health care reform. They received ~1,000 videos, selected 20 finalists, and invited Americans to select the winner.

OFA put together a fantastic video describing the contest. This is first-rate, sophisticated stuff: sleek, progressive and energizing.  The winning video is less impressive than the overall OFA video, but effective nonetheless.

I was a regular donor to Obama’s presidential campaign but I never really considered the potential of a well-funded, post-election community organizing arm, until now.

Watch the video. And if you think no one in the richest country in the world should suffer sickness and death because they lack health insurance, spread this around.

“The victory alone is not the change we seek – it is only the chance for us to make that change.” – President Barack Obama, Election night, 2008
